An integrated commitment to the way we do business
Sustainability is one of the guiding principles behind the way we do business. It informs decisions related to governance, products, people and the environment. In 2025, the Colussi Group strengthened this approach by integrating ESG issues more closely into business and decision-making processes to support responsible, long-term value creation.

Governance
At Colussi, we define governance as the way in which we operate, make decisions and oversee our business conduct. This involves promoting ethics, integrity, transparency and accountability in business processes, and strengthening over time the structures, tools and guiding principles to make governance increasingly robust, consistent and capable of supporting the Group’s evolution. To this end, ESG principles have been integrated into governance and incentive mechanisms. By 2025, 28% of management’s variable remuneration was linked to ESG targets. The presence of 29% independent directors on the Board of Directors helps strengthen transparency, independent judgement and decision-making processes.
Crossing the 200-year mark: admission to The Henokiens
In 2025, the Colussi Group joined The Henokiens, an international association of family businesses which have been operating for at least 200 years and remain linked to their founding families. This membership testifies to the strength of the Group’s entrepreneurial journey, as well as its ability to evolve whilst staying true to its identity.

Products
Our products embody the Group’s history, our careful selection of raw materials, and our ability to innovate while catering to people’s needs. We strive to offer high-quality, safe products, keeping pace with changing tastes and eating habits through new offerings with a focus on quality, nutritional value and clear labelling. This commitment begins with the selection of raw materials and the supply chain, where much of the value we aim to create is realised.
Controlled supply chain
Since 2014, the Colussi Group has developed a model for a controlled supply chain for wheat cultivation — wheat being the main raw material in many of our products. Developed in collaboration with mills, farms and scientific partners, this integrated system spans the whole of Italy and guarantees the traceability and quality of the wheat, from sowing to the finished product. The mills ensure that the supplied wheat is grown and managed in accordance with Colussi’s specifications, while paying farmers a fair premium. Digital technologies are used to support farms and promote more efficient practices, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of cultivation. In 2025, 32% of Group purchases came from a controlled supply chain — an increase of over 5,000 tonnes from 2023.

People
People are at the heart of the Group’s activities. We promote health and safety, inclusion, equal opportunities, skills development and participation through training programmes, engagement initiatives, awareness-raising projects and actions to support our local communities.
Our commitment to health and safety
To promote healthier working environments and lifestyles, we have launched the Liberi dal fumo (‘Smoke-Free’) project. The project aims to establish smoke-free workplaces by 2026. In collaboration with LILT Milano Monza e Brianza, among others, this initiative incorporates listening sessions and awareness-raising activities to promote the benefits of a smoke-free lifestyle. Meanwhile, the Behaviour Based Safety project reinforces a culture of prevention and safe behaviour by involving people in observing operational activities and identifying practical improvements. Taken together, these initiatives foster greater awareness and active participation in safeguarding health and safety.
Our commitment to inclusion and the community
The Colussi Group promotes inclusion within its organisation by providing an equal opportunities and respectful working environment, and by fostering relationships with the communities and regions in which it operates.
Gender equality is a key priority: in 2025, Colussi reaffirmed its commitment by obtaining UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for the second consecutive year. Demonstrating its commitment to inclusion, the Group has also launched external initiatives such as the BiscoRotti project, which encourages reflection on themes such as diversity, uniqueness, and imperfection.
To combat food waste and support the social fabric, the Group reaffirmed its support for Banco Alimentare in 2025 by donating six million portions of product.
Growth, engagement and participation
The Colussi Group promotes employee engagement by organising training and knowledge-sharing sessions for the entire organisation. These sessions encourage active participation, strengthening internal dialogue and awareness of the Group’s objectives and direction.
In 2025, the Group introduced a new structured appraisal and feedback system incorporating tests and regular assessments to inform career development plans and provide targeted guidance for training activities, supporting professional growth in the medium term.

Environment
Our environmental commitment spans the entire value chain — from our factories to the agricultural supply chain, right through to packaging. We strive to improve energy efficiency, reduce the environmental impact of packaging and promote more sustainable agricultural practices, including through pilot projects and initiatives dedicated to biodiversity. This is an ongoing process based on innovation, measurement and continuous improvement.
Experimental supply chain and regenerative practices for soft wheat
The Colussi Field Lab is a space where experimentation and dialogue with the agricultural sector take place as part of our work on the wheat supply chain. The project is testing practices aimed at improving soil fertility, reducing chemical inputs and strengthening crop resilience over time. This is complemented by a biodiversity project, which aims to monitor the presence of plant species and beneficial insects within the supply chain’s agroecosystems. These activities are being carried out over a five-year period with the support of digital tools designed to assist the supply chain. They will help to generate evidence to inform the evolution of Colussi’s wheat cultivation protocol and the gradual development of lower-impact agricultural practices.
Energy, renewables and climate
We promote energy efficiency in our factories and have used 100% renewable electricity since 2019. To address residual emissions, Colussi supports CO₂ offsetting projects that build on our energy efficiency measures and renewable energy use.
Innovative packaging
We are committed to a programme of packaging innovation aimed at reducing our use of plastic, prioritising paper and optimising packaging design. By 2025, over 90% of the primary paper packaging used by our leading brands was FSC-certified.
Compostable packaging solutions have been adopted for certain Agnesi- and Misura-branded products. At the same time, the Group has been working to reduce the weight of its packaging by redesigning packs to minimise the use of raw materials while maintaining functionality and protective capacity. These efforts began several years ago across various products and types of packaging, and have been recognised by CONAI as part of the Ecodesign for Packaging Call for Proposals.

Sustainability Report
Since 2019, we have been voluntarily measuring and reporting on our impacts. The 2025 Sustainability Report showcases seven years of progress and provides a structured account of the Group’s evolving commitment. Prepared in accordance with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, the document also considers certain elements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards, particularly the double materiality process. To ensure the reliability of the reported information, the report has undergone a limited assurance review by an independent third party.
